GivingTuesday is a global movement that empowers people and organizations to transform their communities, and it also launches Densho’s end-of-year giving campaign! Join us on December 2, 2025 for this global day of giving!

This GivingTuesday, we’re aiming to raise $10,000 for Densho’s educational programming for National Park Service (NPS) staff and other public educators. As the National Park Service continues to face staffing and funding cuts, as well as pressure to censor and take down historical signs, Densho remains committed to supporting NPS staff in telling an inclusive and accurate story of the WWII incarceration.

This past year, Densho partnered with Minidoka National Historic Site to develop a comprehensive educational program used to train park rangers and NPS interns—a project funded in part by a National Park Foundation grant (read more in our blog). Drawing on Densho’s vast historical resources and archival materials, this program offers NPS staff a broad overview of the wartime incarceration and helps them teach this history with care. We are determined to continue this training program, making it accessible to more NPS staff members, thereby safeguarding our shared history.

By giving to Densho today, you keep historical education free, accurate, and accessible for all. Thank you for your support as we aim to raise $10,000 to not only jumpstart our end-of-year giving campaign, but also to lay a strong foundation for Densho’s 30th anniversary next year.
