Please join us online on October 22, 2026, at 6:00 PM PT for our virtual celebration and fundraiser, Stories that Endure: 30 Years in Community.
This virtual fundraising program continues to celebrate Densho’s 30th Anniversary and honor its legacy. It will begin with a new short film by Jason Jakaitis, tracing the history of Densho and its evolving efforts to meet the moment. Densho Executive Director Naomi Ostwald Kawamura and Founding Executive Director Tom Ikeda will then further reflect on the evolution and impacts of Densho’s work, as well as our hopes for the future. We will also explore some of Densho’s specific contributions to the community by hearing from special guest speakers Brynn Saito, who will discuss and read some of her poetry, and Duncan Ryūken Williams, who will discuss the Irei Project.
For everyone who wasn’t able to attend our in-person gala, or for those of you who want to celebrate further, please join us on October 22 as we continue to honor Densho’s past 30 years and envision our next 30 and beyond.
