Join us on September 8 from 4:00-5:00 pm PT for the launch of Densho’s new Education Framework and learn about ten guidelines for teaching Japanese American wartime incarceration in K–12 classrooms.

Hear from Executive Director Naomi Ostwald Kawamura on why the framework matters now, Densho staff on the primary sources and scholarship referenced, and Densho Teacher Fellow James Lemuel on applying it in the classroom. Educators, school and district staff, museum professionals, and teacher educators will leave with practical ideas for integrating the guidelines into existing curricula and teaching a fuller, more accurate history and have the opportunity to ask questions in a live Q&A.
