This #GiveBIG, we’re working to raise $15,000 to launch the Living History Project—an oral history initiative capturing our community’s experiences in the present moment.
Today, Japanese American community leaders, activists, and elders are drawing on memories of World War II to navigate ongoing and emerging crises, reflecting on issues of democracy, citizenship, and state power, among others. Through this new initiative, we will record these perspectives, documenting how our community is making sense of and responding to current events in real time.
