9月24日（水）午後１２時、Denshoの日本語ウェブサイトのリニューアルにあたり、その内容をオンラインで紹介させて頂きたいと存じます。Nikkeijin.densho.orgは、第二次世界大戦中の強制立ち退きと収容を含めた、日本からの移民とそれに続く世代のアメリカ合衆国での経験と歴史を追い、豊富な資料を提供するサイトです。2010年に立ち上げたこのサイトは、日米両国のパートナーからの御協力のもと、より興味深い内容を提供するための努力を重ねてきました。今まで扱っていなかった学術的な題材も含み、アメリカ日系人の歴史をより多くの方々に知って頂きたいと思っております。
Denshoの日本語翻訳およびリサーチ担当者の田邉直子と共に、アメリカ日系人の歴史と、文化を超えた交わりを辿って頂ければと思っております。尚、このイベントは、すべて日本語でおこなわれます。

Join us on Wednesday, September 24 at 12pm PDT, for the unveiling of Densho’s newly updated and expanded Japanese-language website! Nikkeijin.densho.org offers Japanese-language resources and content on the experiences of Japanese immigrants and their descendants in the United States, including the forced removal and incarceration during World War II. Since the site’s original launch in 2010, we have worked with partners in the United States and Japan to create more language-accessible and culturally-relevant resources for Japanese audiences. We are excited to re-launch Densho’s Japanese-language website and share new findings, scholarly advancements in Japanese American history, and previously untold stories with a broader and more diverse audience.
Join Naoko Tanabe, Densho’s Japanese Researcher and Translator, to learn more about this exciting resource and get a preview of forthcoming articles and other Japanese-language content that will help deepen cross-cultural connections and understandings of Japanese American history. This event will be held in Japanese.
